RHAPSODIC: 

Virtuoso pianist MIA presents RHAPSODIC,  a show centered around a tribute to George Gershwin, weaving his beloved tunes within the iconic Rhapsody in Blue, creating a tapestry of vibrant deco brilliance!Liberace’s  conductor/orchestrator, Arte Azenzer, created the piece for virtuoso pianist Mia Vassilev, whom Arte met in Florida following one of her performances, dubbing her ‘Miss Flying Fingers.’ 

Also featured on the program are retro classic favorites spanning from the 1920s-1990s! Rhapsodic features Mia on piano, accompanied by an 8-piece ensemble of trumpet, trombone, clarinet/sax/flute, harp, percussion, bass and 2 dancers. From the soothing jazz harmonies of Hoagy Carmichael, to the always popular audience-involving boogie-woogie, to the dynamic rock of the 80s, to the polka that brings audiences to their feet, RHAPSODIC takes you on an unforgettable journey, bending time and musical genres!
