Rachel Tucker is an award winning actress and singer, and received an Olivier Nomination for originating the role of Annette/Captain Beverly Bass in the West End production of Come From Away, at London’s Phoenix Theatre. Subsequently she was asked to join the shows production in New York, making that her third Broadway show!


Recently Rachel dazzled London audiences with her unforgettable interpretation of Persephone for the National Theatres' West End transfer of Hadestown. Hotfooting it from the London Coliseum, Rachel most recently wowed audiences with heart wrenching performance as Myrtle Wilson in the Broadway transfer of the new musical, The Great Gatsby.

Other memorable roles include starring as Norma Desmond in Jamie Lloyd’s iconic reinterpretation of Sunset Boulevard at the Savoy Theatre, London, gaining critical acclaim from press and audiences alike for her thrilling performance.

Rachel is undoubtably best known for her unique interpretation of Elphaba, the Green Witch, in London's West End production of Wicked at the Apollo Theatre. After playing the role for three years and over one thousand performances, she was invited to New York, by Joe Mantello, Wicked’s celebrated director, to play the role for a year on Broadway.

Alongside her incredible theatre career, Rachel is a highly sought after concert artist, performing in Germany, Japan, Norway, Switzerland and the USA. Most recently Rachel performed at the Sydney Opera House, The Arts Centre, Melbourne, in Do You Hear The People Sing, a musical celebration of Boublil & Schönberg's best known works: Les Miserable & Miss Saigon. She was especially honoured to perform the show to a packed house at the prestigious Hollywood Bowl, LA.
